Gili came to me as a student back in 1996 when she was still at high school. I remember encouraging her obvious creative photography talents and I soon found that she had a skill far beyond many other students I have taught.
Mostly when I was teaching her I found that she was nearly always one step ahead of me.
A great photographer once said "Many people look but not many people see". When Gili looks, she sees a picture quicker than most....

"I just love to take pictures. When I shoot a picture I feel I can stop time exactly when I want to. In that way I can keep memories forever... I also like to remember a special moment exactly the way I see it and create the memory the way I want to see it, therefore I shoot images as art photography".

Hi Roger,
You have inspired me to take better pictures. I have always enjoyed photography since I was young but didn't spend the time that I should in developing my photo technique, but after my time as one of your students I was encouraged by you liking my work and telling me to go and shoot more pictures, you told me, "do it because you do it good"!
Hearing such words from an experienced professional photographer like you and after all the help and encouragement you gave me with your photography secrets, it gave me the motivation to shoot these pictures and to take photography seriously. Thank you forever. Gili.
