White Bikini Model Photo-Shoot

Our Teen Model in a White Bikini on a 'Bikini Beach' photo-shoot

If you have a Digital SLR Camera you could shoot pictures just like this and we'll give you some helpful tips to get you going.

Make sure that all your Digital Camera Equipment is ready, by that I mean not only your digital SLR camera, lenses, tripod, camera flash gun, reflectors etc. but that your rechargeable batteries for your camera and flash gun are fully charged and that you are carrying a spare set fully charged as well, along with spare memory cards, or if your using a SLR film camera film stock also, on all occasions.

Always look for an unusual angle or idea to shoot where possible, this will take your shots past a 'pretty, pretty' photo, to hopefully a more interesting picture to view. It's also an idea to treat the whole photo session as an excise as though you were shooting a spread for a client that has commissioned you to do so.

If of course that is the case and you are in fact shooting for a client, it's more important to think carefully of what you are trying to achieve and what your client has in mind.

It's always best to get a 'safe shot' or two out of the way first, what I mean here is, if you have planned a shot, perhaps running it past your client for his approval, then complete this task first. This will give you the opportunity to be creative and introduce other ideas in the way of posing the model and choice of backgrounds.

This equally applies to shooting a spread in the photo studio and will reduce the pressure you might be working under while your client is watching over your shoulder.

Listen to what your client has to say and make sure he gets the shots he wants first, in this way you will be on the road to being a successful photographer.

With your model the knack is to get her to relax, and feel at ease in front of your camera and with your photo shoot. If shes a full professional model this is generally not such a problem, but if she is a part time young teen model for example this will need some real effort on your part to get her into the swing of things and at the same time enjoy the photo session.
